Air-purging unit, model APU2 is designed to remove water vapor and dust particles by recirculating air from laser or harmonics generator cavity. Clean environment helps to extend lifetime of UV optical components and/or remove water vapor absorption lines that are present in near and mid-IR range. In addition, APU2 includes AC/DC converter for powering laser electronics.
There are several versions of air-purging unit with additional functionality. Unit can integrate AC/DC mains adapter and/or laser controller.
Laser controller provides interfaces for control of the laser from personal computer (PC) or direct control from triggering pulse generator. Standard features are Ethernet port for control for PC, BNC sockets for applying triggering pulses for pump diodes and Q-switch, safety keyswitch and emergency stop plug.
Our high average power lasers (typically above 2 W average power) might require 19” form factor AC/DC adapter, model PS19. If requested, PS19 can be upgraded with build-in controller (model CT19) and air purging unit (model CTA19).
Note, by default most of QLI lasers are delivered with compact CT type controller that is not a 19” rack unit. Due small size, CT type controller can be placed nearby laser head for convenient access. See more details about default controller in the datasheet of each laser.
